I had the good fortune to meet Dave & Celia at Mark & Kerry's Wedding in December, they asked me if they could have a brief discussion with me before I left that evening to quickly discuss their Wedding in August as they had been watching the way I worked throughout the day and how friendly and accommodating I was, so a brief discussion was had and an arrangement made to go and see them a few weeks after to discuss in more detail their requirements, it gave me an opportunity to show them some of the images taken at Mark & Kerry's Wedding and also more of my previous client's wedding's and slideshow's.
Well the outcome was I was hired to cover their special day and boy what a day it was, the service was conducted at Birkenhead Registry Office with Family and Friends all gathered to witness the occasion, Celia looked stunning and Dave scrubbed up well too....I did mention to both of them before the service....don't fluff your lines lol, as you will be videod during the service and it will form part of the final slideshow presentation...no extra nerves then!!!! they said.
The service over and it was confetti time and group photographs outside the Registry office in the beautiful sunshine before heading off to the Wedding Breakfast Venue Tanskey's Bistro in West Kirby, the venue situated on the South Parade overlooking the marine lake and the Welsh coastline in the distance to one side and the Coronation Gardens on the other was the perfect setting, the Gardens in full bloom proved a lovely backdrop for some of the Romantic shots and Dave and Celia took it all in there stride, it was also lovely to capture on video the emotion in the speeches especially from Dave's mum.
I took my time mingling and photographing all the family and friends in the late evening sunshine after the Wedding Breakfast service and started to prepare for the evening reception.
The guests started arriving for the evening festivities so more group and single photographs were taken and the party started to flow, we managed to get a few photographs overlooking the marine lake as the sun started to set and the clouds rolled in.
Back inside Dave and Celia took to the floor for their First Dance and with family and friends all gathered round taking pictures and little snippets of video, they looked in a world of their own totally engrossed in the emotions of the day and each other, for me it was the perfect end to their perfect day.
